Osiris Family Institute’s Family Support & Community Services form an integral component of the Massachusetts Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI). As a prominent provider of family support programs in the region, OFI remains steadfast in its dedication to involving young people and families in personalized and coordinated trauma-informed care. Our approach prioritizes family-centered and community-based solutions, ensuring comprehensive support tailored to the unique needs of each individual and family we serve.
In-Home Therapy (IHT)
OFI’s In-Home Therapy (IHT) teams address the behavioral health needs of children and youth while empowering families to provide support within the home environment. To minimize the necessity for placements outside the home, IHT delivers intensive therapy and support tailored to families. This is facilitated by a dedicated team comprising professionals and paraprofessionals working collaboratively to ensure comprehensive care and assistance.

Therapeutic Mentoring
A therapeutic mentor provides individualized guidance to children or youth who, due to their behavioral health needs, seek support and coaching to enhance social skills, such as improved communication and interpersonal interactions.
Through therapeutic mentoring, the child works towards achieving objectives outlined in an outpatient or in-home therapy treatment plan.
Community Support Program (CSP)
OFI’s Community Support Program (CSP) offers short-term, intensive outreach and care management services for individuals at risk of repeated psychiatric hospitalizations or inpatient substance abuse treatment. Our flexible, person-centered approach ensures that we provide tailored support for those facing challenges accessing and maintaining essential health and social services.
Our dedicated CSP team consists of outreach workers from diverse backgrounds who are fluent in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, and Cape Verdean Creole.
CSP services include:
- Coordinating with healthcare providers to improve care quality and promote wellness.
- Providing “hands-on” case management, including short-term transportation to medical appointments.
- Connecting clients with vital community resources such as housing, food assistance, and benefit programs.
- Facilitating access to peer support and self-help groups.
Our CSP is available to individuals with Mass Health who have behavioral health care managed by MBHP, Network, and/or Beacon Health.
