Larry Higginbottom

  • Larry earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, in 1993, followed by his MSW and LCSW from Simmons College in 1998. His professional journey began with Boston Public Schools, where he served as a Clinical Coordinator at Brighton High School from 1998 to 2001. Concurrently, he worked as a Clinician at Dorchester Counseling Center from 1998 to 2002 and at Youth Opportunity Boston from 2000 to 2001.
  • In 2001, Larry co-founded the Osiris Group, showcasing his commitment to social work and community development of the Greater Boston community. His professional affiliations include the Greater Boston Chapter of Black Social Workers, the Burroughs Group, and the National Association of Social Workers.
  • Larry is also an active media presence, hosting “The Black Perspective,” a livestream series from Boston, MA, where he provides contemporary insights into the culture, awareness, and condition of African American people. Additionally, he hosts the cable TV talk show “Families Do Matter” on Boston Neighborhood Network (BNN) and a radio show by the same name on WILD 1090 AM.

Deborah Higginbottom

  • Deborah co-founded the Osiris Group in 2001 and has since played a pivotal role in its growth and success, showcasing her commitment to social work and community development of the Greater Boston community. In 2015, she earned her B.A. in Psychology from UMass Boston, further enhancing her expertise in the field. With over 30 years of experience in executive leadership and administrative work, Deborah brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to her role.
  • As the Co-Founder and President of Administration, Deborah oversees the day-to-day operations of key departments, including finance and IT, ensuring that the organization’s administrative functions run smoothly and efficiently.

Vice President of Operations

Karia Higginbottom

  • In 2013, Karia earned her B.A. in Psychology from Hampton University, an esteemed HBCU. She continued her education at Boston University School of Medicine, where she received her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2015 and became a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC).
  • Karia’s clinical career began with an internship at Hope House Addiction Services, where she worked in one of their substance use residential programs. She then joined South Shore Mental Health as a Recovery Coordinator, where her dedication and expertise led to her promotion to Assistant Program Director after the organization rebranded to Aspire Health Alliance.
  • Currently, Karia serves as the VP of Operations for the Osiris Group. In this role, she oversees clinical supervision and manages the company’s day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest standards of service and care.
